This series consists of textual records maintained by George Zhuang, the Viticulture Farm Advisor for the University California Cooperative Extension in Fresno County. These records pertain to the cultivation of grapes grown for consumption as table grapes, wine, and raisins. Examples of topics that are covered in these files are roots, vines, harvesting, pruning, vineyard management, diseases, fungicides, mildew, nematodes, mealybugs, fertilization, irrigation, and soil. The types of materials found in this series include but are not limited to reports, journal articles, newsletters, crop studies, pamphlets, and budget reports. These are historical files from the past viticulture advisors, primarily L. Peter Christensen and Harry L. Andris. The bulk of the records were created between 1946-1997. These files are arranged in alphabetical order by folder titles.
