Scope and Contents
This series consists of textual records maintained by Mae Culumber, the Nut Crops Advisor for the University California Cooperative Extension in Fresno County. These records pertain to almond, pistachio, and walnut trees. Examples of topics that are covered in these files are cultivation, disease and pest management, nematodes, irrigation, fertilization, and trainings and suggestions for prospective growers. The types of materials found in this series include but are not limited to reports, newsletters, correspondence, and cost studies. These are the historical files from the past nut tree advisors. The bulk of the records were created between 1950-1992. These files are arranged in alphabetical order by folder titles.
