This series consists of administrative files produced by the UCCE-Butte County office. Records contain within are Annual Reports, which cover detailed narrative and statistical summaries regarding activities undertaken by the Butte office. Series Description: From the Series: This series consists predominately of contact sheets for Ernest Lowe’s photographs. A contact sheet is a method of printing all frames from a given film roll on a single photographic paper. This allows the photographer to review all pictures taken from the roll at once and evaluate which ones to enlarge. Records from the Sutter and Yuba Counties Cooperative Extension offices contain materials created by farm advisors Janine Hasey, Kate Wilkin, Franz Niderholzer, and Whitney Brim-Deforest. Materials cover topics including annual reports of work, home demonstration activities, pomology, livestock, rice, walnuts, and the 4-H program.

Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series:

The audiovisual material consists primarily of 16mm film reels dating from 1953-1982 as well as films that are undated. Their assorted subject-matters exemplify UCANR activities such as the 4-H youth program, food and nutrition trainings, wildland management, crop industry, animals, and adolescence and alcohol. The films were produced by University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) personnel throughout California.
